Love C. Dialogos, LMFT
Clinical Psychotherapist
I'm a big fan of combining Western research and science with Eastern philosophical viewpoints. In the West, we're just beginning to understand what Eastern Buddhist philosophy has known for thousands of years.
As a mental health counselor, I primarily use Buddhist Psychology as a foundational modality or some variant with a mindful approach. Some examples are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a mindful approach, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solutions Focused, Symbolic-Experiential therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused, Meditation and mindfulness skills training, and others.
