I believe you are doing the very best you can in your life and you’ve reached a point where you need an additional perspective on a topic or situation. You may feel stuck, maybe you’ve tried a lot or a little to resolve your predicament. Either way that’s where I come in. I’m a temporary stop on your journey. Therapy is not forever. My intention is to work myself out of a job. I do you no good so long as you need me. ​​

I’m a big fan of combining western research and science with eastern philosophical viewpoints. In the west we’re just beginning to understand what eastern Buddhist philosophy has known for thousands of years.

As a mental health counselor I primarily use Buddhist Psychology as a foundational modality or some variant with a mindful approach. Some examples are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a mindful approach, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Solutions Focused, Symbolic-Experiential therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused, Meditation and mindfulness skills training, and others.
